9NEWS Leader of the Year
The Spark
Since 1999, 9NEWS has recognized outstanding leaders in our community, with the 9NEWS Leader of the Year award. The Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation partners with 9NEWS to find and honor individuals for their leadership in and commitment to Colorado.
The Work
This award creates a unique storytelling and engagement opportunity, not only to shine a light on Coloradans who are making an impact but also to connect them to each other and the greater community to breed more inspiration and action. Media partnerships with 9NEWS and the Denver Business Journal allowed a variety of platforms to share these stories in addition to email, blog and social content via the Leadership Foundation.
Videos
A feature video on each finalist was created, as well as an introduction video, shared in advance of a “Meet the Finalists” event as a teaser to introduce them and to encourage eligible Coloradans to vote for an honoree.
Special Section
The Denver Business Journal published a special section that was also repurposed at a program for the 9NEWS Leader of the Year event, drawing on a conversation with the three finalists in advance of the awards event.
